About the Department

The department of Medicine was established to train Medical Doctors who would be well equipped with requisite knowledge and skills to provide up-to-date medical care. The training in the department involves medical clerkship in a three-year rotation which includes all the sub specialties.

Aims and Objectives

  •  The aims and objectives of the department of Medicine are to train students to become:
  •  Providers of health care to individuals and communities
  •  Health advocates for the communities
  •  Investigators of the causes of diseases and other health problems
  •  Health educators
  •  Knowledgeable in health policies, health management and global health issues
  •  Capable of conducting research
  •  Self-reliant and capable of employment generation
