The Department of Islamic Law has a modest beginning with the desire to produce LLB Hons in Islamic Law graduates and satisfy the needs of the Law of Gombe State University. The Department has grown remarkably both in number of staff; currently it has a total number of 12 staff including both academic and non-academic staff. The Department is proud of 11 Academic staff, and 1 Secretarial staff. The Academic staffs presently range from 1 Reader, 2 Senior Lecturer, 2 Lecturer I, 1 Lecturer I, 4 Assistant Lecturer and 1 Graduate Assistant. The Department has well-equipped and standard Moot Court and Law Library which accommodates both teaching and practice.
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS FOR THE PROGRAMME (UTME AND DIRECT ENTRY CANDIDATES):
Candidates for admission into Gombe State University must satisfy the general admission requirements of the University, as well the special entry requirements of the Faculty of Law.
