The African Development Bank and Partners’ Digital Coding For Employment program is ensuring that African Youths are Competitive in the Global Digital Economy
Gombe State University is a Major Stakeholder, with one of our Graduates in person of Martha Oyanta Daniel, now Co-founder of Eagles Advocacy making headlines. Thirty one-year-old Martha Oyanta Daniel and 26-year-old Esther Ayuba graduated from the Coding for Employment program here at the African Center of Excellence, Gombe State University in 2019. After completing the course, Daniel and Ayuba started up an NGO called Eagles Advocacy. The NGO teaches young girls digital skills here at Gombe State, Northern Nigeria, a region often depicted in news reports as restive. Eagles Advocacy has so far put 500 girls in Gombe State through the AfDB CfE digital skills program. Daniel and Ayuba have also teamed up with local, private sector partners and NGOs with a goal of training 1,000 girls in their community. as shown on this link: AfDB website.
